La Cala is close to four golf courses. La Noria Golf, El Chaparral, Calanova and La Cala Golf. They have also built a new racetrack called the Hippodromo de Costa del Sol very close by.

Calahonda, south of La Cala is clustered and they share a promenade. There it is a calm pace and cozy atmosphere. However, Calahonda offers everything you could need within easy reach. For those who do not want to drive, there is a small train and good connections in all directions by bus. Calahonda has its own port, Cabopino Puerto, which is a real donut place on the Sunshine Coast. In this beautiful harbor there are a number of good restaurants and bars, a sunset dinner in the lovely setting is highly recommended.

Here is one of the coast's most reputable international schools and many fun attractions for families with children, such as the crocodile park, aqualand and the botanical garden. The municipality has an 8 km long coastline and several famous and cozy beaches with a large selection of restaurants. The Los Ɓlamos boardwalk has in recent years turned into a very popular place for young people, of all ages, to while away the wee hours. Here, the Spanish beach bars are a bit cheekier with large beach beds, live performances and discotheques. There are also fine sports facilities for football, tennis, basketball, handball, volleyball and outdoor pools. The resort is only minutes from the airport and also very close to Malaga city.
